Back to Basics

Today's post is brought to you by the cold I developed late on Saturday, which had me feeling terrible on Monday. That resulted in this outfit - not my most creative, but I like to think I'm getting back to basics. As in, the basic color scheme. Blue. Check. Red. Check. All I need is green and I'm a primary color wheel's dream.

For some reason, I could not get my tripod lined up properly and only snapped a handful of decent photos. Normally I'm a slave to taking at least some decent photos, but today I was so exhausted after work that I didn't even care.

Dress - Loft
Necklace -  my grandmother
Turquoise Ring - JewelMint
Right hand rings - bought at an artist alley in Montreal
Watch - Citizen

All I could hear during these photos is Kristen (of Boston Fashionista fame) saying "Beauty is Pain." So I tried my best to toughen up and make it through the pain. After all, if I took the time to shower and get dressed today, I've already done the hard part, right?

  1. Ok, ok, don't take the mantra too far! We don't want you staying sick! That said, NO WAY do you look ill in the shots. The bright dress is so vibrant and you look lovely. You totally had me fooled.

  4. Hah, I always say I am going all neutral or minimal when I really just can't be bothered to get creative. Well played with a return to basics!!
